Product Review: Yoki 004
Designed to sit comfortably on a narrow 12.5m wide allotment, the Yoki 004 offers an abundance of indoor/outdoor entertainment spaces. This home was passionately designed to suit all; from the private entry that strategically blocks any view past the front door, to the chic master bedroom with its substantial private alfresco.
Two living zones located at opposite ends of the Yoki allow you to retire in bliss, oblivious to the happenings at the other end of the home. The family room leads to a large alfresco which is adjacent to the master bedroom alfresco but separated by a double brick parting wall, to again provide two secluded outdoor areas. With a narrow allotment it is impractical having outdoor entertainment zones to the side of the dwelling 1m away from the fence,as the space will be deprived of natural light. The little yard remaining is usually at the rear of the home, therefore the Yoki was designed to take full advantage of this.
The Yoki was designed to appeal to the empty nester, the young family or professional couple wanting a design savvy, low maintenance property. With this in mind the display home at Williams Landing has been fitted out with polished porcelain tiles, timber floors, bi-fold doors and the kitchen and bathrooms have been equipped with the highest quality basins and tap ware. Homes of this size are rarely displayed to this standard as the industry instinctively assumes the smaller homes will only attract a budget or low income first home buyer and fit their product out accordingly. The success and popularity of the Yoki 004 has resulted in the development of a further four floorplans (Yoki 001-005) which include more bedrooms and larger living areas.
The Yoki range delivers on Urbanedge’s vision to provide ‘an affordable alternative to mainstream housing’. With an edgy and distinctive design, the Yoki is a standout amongst all other medium sized products currently available in the market.
